“ Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience! Un-Yang-Kor-Dai is a Thai Select and Michelin Bib gourmand restaurant. Made a reservation the night prior and my table was ready upon arrival. I did notice many that walked-in and were turned away as the restaurant was fully booked... Staff were all wearing masks and wearing disposable gloves. There was a decoration on the wall to talk along with a small sign at the table to speak softly to help the vibe... Menu had plenty of pictures and ordering was done via an "Ordering Chit." Started off with the Thai iced tea for $6 and it was fragrant and had a nice foam on top. Most importantly, it wasn't too sweet and it was super creamy! Ordered the shrimp paste fried rice with their house special grilled chicken and the dish was super delicious! The fried rice was a touch muted on flavors as it was requested to be less spicy. The grilled chicken was marinated extremely well and super juicy. There was half a salted egg in addition to a side of cut tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. Moved on to a side of stir-fried morning glory and it was tasty. Nicely stir-fried with garlic although the restaurant opted to keep the vast majority of the stems. ~$45/head after GST for lunch with plenty of leftovers. Restaurant is cashless and takes cards exclusively. ”
“ We ordered take away on Mother's Day since the restaurant was fully booked for lunch however the staff was very apologetic. The beef salad was nice and spicy and the beef was tender. The tofu and vegetable green curry was delicious to a perfection. Four stars instead of five because the price is a bit on the high side. We will certainly go back to the restaurant to try their other items and the desserts. ”
“ Everything was so delicious! My new favourite Thai restaurant in Singapore! Not only was the food amazing, the staff was so friendly and attentive. The decor was interesting. The restaurant was really clean. It wasn't that busy on a Tuesday night but they do take reservations. Firstly, the grilled chicken (half $12) was great! Very juicy and tender. Pairs well with the spicy sauce for dipping. The PenLaos platter ($24) had pork spring rolls and pork neck (delicious). It was supposed to have pancakes but they ran out so we had crispy prawn instead, but everything was so good! The 500g deep-fried sea bass ($28) was so delicious too! Perfectly crispy on the outside but it wasn't burnt. Just cooked to perfection. For dessert, of course we had the mango sticky rice ($9) which was yummy and we tried the Red Ruby in coconut milk ($5.5) but that was just okay. The Thai milk tea was great! The brown sticky rice we ordered on the side came in a cute basket and it was yummy. Bottom line is that I'm so happy this place exists to satisfy our Thai food cravings. I definitely recommend! ”
“ A refreshing change to be finally able to get decent quality Thai food (Isaan style) at a casual breezy comfortable restaurant (as opposed to the tasty but seedy joints found at Orchard Towers or Golden Mile). Mid-value price point, warm & hospital service & typical familiar favourites cooked in a healthier lighter style. ”
